Pity Party: Reservation for 1

You guys, I need a swift kick in the arse.  Seriously, I have been so blah and negative lately that it is just dumb.  There is no reason for it.  I was all "I am tired", "I have too much to do", "I want to sleep in".  Shove it, Amy!  You need to turn those gripes around and say:

I am tired, but I am alive!

I have too much to do, but thank God that I am healthy enough to do it all!

I want to sleep in, but when I do I miss out on life!

So, no more pity parties!  I haven't even been blogging.  Whatevs, I am lame.  So lame in fact that I only jogged once this past week, although it was a really good run.  I went to the park with the girls from work.  We went 2.8 miles outside and it felt great.  I was actually in a good mood that night!

I have done my abs every night but Tuesday, so I am a day behind on those.  You guys think my lack in exercising may have something to do with my bad attitude???  Think so...!

Saturday Morning, How I Long for Thee...

I'm just going to say this - I miss quiet, non-eventful, Saturday mornings.  It is nice, however, to get up early and get the day started.  We started the morning with a 9:00 basketball game and then went straight to Guthrie for Emma to cheer at the little league football game that started at 11:00.

Oh, and I am also to say that I haven't jogged since I don't know when.  I am a slacker.  I have been doing  September abs though!  They are killing me.  I'm not sore after I do them, which is strange to me.

Here are a few photos from the weekend:

He wouldn't look at me and he stole my tea.  Mean.

Sneezing and Horses Go Together

09/08/12:  First - confession - I did not work out Saturday (even skipped abs and substituted Saturday as my rest day instead of Sunday).  I spent the majority of the day watching my sweet E compete in the Pott County Fair.  She started off with a barrel race Friday night, which she placed first and had a personal best time of 19.3 seconds.  Then Saturday she started off showing her dad's horse, Maggie, she got third place.  Then she showed her horse, Pudge, and got first and Grand Champion.  Next event was walk/trot, which she placed first in.  Then she ran barrels and placed second with a 19.8.  She finished the day up with poles and placing first.  She finished with tons of ribbons and a big smile!  I finished with watery eyes and a stuffy nose (I'm allergic to horses).  She does all of her horse related stuff with her dad and step-mom, I am just there to support and sneeze!

I mean, really?  Could this be any cuter?

Sister helping D pet Pudge

D had to get his hands on some of her ribbons

Both of Emma's brothers.  Poor sissy, she is going to be harassed for the rest of her life by these two!
Oh, D realized that the camera on my phone takes pictures.  He was fascinated!

There were more in this sequence, but I think you get the idea.  I won't bore you with those.

09/09/12:  Living room
Saturday's abs

09/10/12:  I didn't do crap.

Buuuttt - E is home from her dad's!  Woot woot!

My babies!
09/11/12:  Curves
5 yellow dots and 321 calories burned
Monday's and Tuesday's abs - ouch.

09/12/12:  Treadmill
3 miles, 38 minutes

I thought I was going to die on the treadmill this morning.  Seriously, ya'll, I had to walk the last half.  I was pleased, however, that I still made it in 38 minutes.  I didn't do today's abs so that will happen tonight.  Instead, I sat on my couch.

Peace.

I Think I Left my Straightener on Today....

I really do think I left my straightener on today and it is driving me crazy!

09/06/12:  Treadmill
3 miles, 38:16 minutes, 230 calories burned
Then day 6 of September's rock hard abs
I wanted to cry.

Actually, my jog started off really well.  Jogged the whole time, I did have to get off of the treadmill twice to let Penny out and in.  Other than that it was great, no pain in my side or anything!

I got up at 5 to get my workout in before the day started.  I am trying to make that my new routine.  My favorite part of this routine is that my friend, Martinez, text messages me to blast my lazy butt out of bed.  Here are a couple pictures of our 5 am messaging:

WOW (Worthy of Worship) started back up last night so I have another activity to add back in to my weekly schedule.  This is the program our church does in place of AWANAS.  If you're from around here and would like to get rid of your kids for an hour let your kids have a fun night and learn about the Bible, drop them off.  My baby D went to class for the first time this year.  It was pretty darn cute.

Burpees Suck

As I was just informed, I am "like 9 days behind".  I think the ladies at the office are exaggerating a little.  But, nonetheless, I am behind!

I'm going to be real honest and tell you guys that I don't even know what kind of jogging (if any) I have done since I last blogged.  I do know, that I started this plan:

My friend, Vic, found this and told me about it.  I am super excited about completing this!  Burpees are a biatch.  Whatevs.

My most important update for all of you is that D's leg is so much better!  Silvadene is magic, ya'll.  I have hated watching my boy be in pain.  It has affected everything he does.  He is finally playing like normal and wrestling with J again.  I think your kids being sick or hurt is one of the hardest things about being a parent.  I hate feeling so helpless and just wish I could take the pain or the sickness away.  This reminds me of something a "friend" (I no longer have any contact with this person, you will understand once you finish reading) told me once.  She, having no children of her own, says "it's really not that hard to be a parent, all you have to do is make sure they have somewhere to live and you feed them".  Um okay.  I wanted to do what Brick did here.  I refrained.  Oh, and yes, I love Anchorman and I'm proud of it.  Judge all you want.

I got off track, that happens sometimes.  J and I had a date night Friday night!  We ate dinner at my parents' house and then went to Oktoberfest.  LOOOOVVVEEE Oktoberfest, so much fun!

Saturday, E had a barrel race.  She had her best time yet.  So proud of this sweet girl!

Sunday we went to church and then celebrated D's birthday, finally.  He is a big two year old now!

D in his sea of girlfriends

Nanu and Papa got him the coaster!

Happy Birthday, D!
We had a great long weekend, so great that I didn't want to come to work today.  Boo.  I ate way too much and must get back on track this week.  I confessed at work today that since I blogged last, I had two fast food hamburgers and ate so much sugar that I had an allergic reaction last night.  Hives and all.  I am sure I haven't mentioned this, but if I eat too much sugar I have a weird reaction with my throat swelling, hives and snot pouring out of my nose.  I am probably at my hottest when these happen.  They aren't fun, but nothing a couple of Benadryl can't fix!
