Why didn't I think of this before?

So here is the deal - I am not a clean freak.  However, when I clean my house, I am a freak about it.  I like things done certain ways and if I don't get it done that way I don't feel as though I completed the task.  Now, this is where I have a problem - I can NEVER get it all done.  Someone always needs something, I get distracted and six hours later I still don't have everything put back on the my bathroom counter.  On Sunday I decided I was going to get some cleaning done and D was busy watching t.v. and playing.

Swear I was cleaning- Dump E-card

I'm going to chase a squirrel for a minute - I probably have the greatest tolerance of hearing kids' shows ever.  I have never been able to understand why J gets frustrated when he hears the same shows.  It just doesn't bother me.  ONE EXCEPTION -  Fairly Odd Parents.  I do not understand Fairly Odd Parents and I do not want to.  I would like to drop kick Timmy Turner and his fairy/fish/whatever those things are that fly around.  This is the show that D chose to watch on Sunday.  So, I was thinking I wish I could turn on some music in order to not hear said show.  Light bulb!  I got my ear buds that I use while I run on the treadmill and hooked myself up.

Another squirrel - when I'm running on the treadmill, that is mommy time, which means when the kids come in and say something I respond with "I can't hear you".  This is probably more comforting than "mommy can't talk to you because she might die from the pain".  Unless there is an emergency or a valid need, I do not take my ear buds out.  D not playing "the dog" properly for E does not count, nor does sissy not letting D play Barbies.

SO, on Sunday, I put my ear buds in and go to work on my house.  D comes and finds me a couple of times and I just tell him that I can't hear him.  Yes, this results in D following me around with a duster in my back like I'm being made to walk the plank and every time I walked through the living room I was attacked with said duster as if he was Spartacus and I was Crassus (don't knock it until you have watched it).  But, guess what?  I got my bathrooms clean and other things that I didn't even have on my list!  Yes, the living room where D was hanging was completely trashed, but I got an amazing amount of housework done in a short amount of time and when I say "done", I mean it was done.  I wasn't lacking the last detail.  It felt amazing.  I will be doing this again and again... and again.

Then again.. I may just do this:

 House cleaning.

Riding in style.  D refused to look at me.

I fell into a burning ring of...

sugar.

Monday Food:

Breakfast:  Big Smoothie

Lunch:  Napoleons - my apple had mold in it, sue me.  Like white mold.

Dinner:  J made another cranberry chicken salad

Snacks:  two pieces of cookie cake and a piece of cake and some ice cream at a birthday party.

Tuesday Food:

Breakfast:  Big smoothie

Lunch:  pretzels and peanut butter

Dinner:  we went to Zio's for my birthday with my parents.  J and I split the italian nachos and I had a bowl of tomato florentine soup.  Oh, and a huge amount of bread dipped in their heavenly olive oil dip.

Snacks:  two Lofthouse cookies.  I totally blame the Martinez for these.  And four fun size bags of Peanut M&M's.  We will blame the Martinez for those as well.  Although, we did decide throughout the day that we truly believe the Peanut M&M's were making us smarter.

This is the only way I knew how many I had  was to look in my trash can.  Yes, that is an orange in there as well.
Thank goodness Tuesday was the last day.  I just threw a bag of Peanut M&M's at the Martinez, just for good measure.

I went down, down, down and the pounds went higher.

I have something to say

*DISCLAIMER*

This is going to be offensive to some people. As such, if you are one of those people that let your panties get in a bunch easily; quit reading now. I told you to stop. You should really exit my page. Okay, I warned you. First off - I believe in the Bible. I believe what it says.  Jesus is my BFF4L&E <--- this should totally be a new thing - best friend for life and eternity. Girls should write that on their notes to their Christian friends. Wait do kids write notes anymore?  They probably just text it or Instagram it now... strokes of genius at 2:00 a.m.  All of that means this - I know the Bible says "an eye for an eye", I also know that in Matthew this is followed by "But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other one also".  I also understand that we are not to use cruel and unusual punishment. So, if after reading the remainder of this, you feel the need to tell me any of the above, just do not do it. I am not interested in arguing. Because quite frankly this is my blog and you do not have to read it. I gave you plenty of warning.

I am sure everyone knows about Clayton Lockett at this point. If you do not, it is really weird that you are current enough to know how to read a blog. Anyways, it has been made clear to us that this murderer suffered for twenty minutes.  Stephanie Neiman was shot twice and buried alive. No one but her and God know how long she suffered.  To those of you who are sharing the story of this murderer's death on Facebook - please stop essentially glorifying his death. Shame on you. Shame on you for taking away what could possibly be closure for innocent parents. Shame on you for glorifying a killer.  Shame on you for being more concerned about his twenty minutes than what Stephanie endured, which I am sure was much longer. Shame on you for not being concerned with how long her parents and family have suffered.  Shame on you for not being concerned with the guilt those innocent parents have felt all these years (could we have kept her home that night, could we have saved her if we had been there).  I have seen one article on Facebook about Stephanie. Do you know how many times I have seen Clayton Lockett's face? Countless!

Yes, the execution process will obviously have to be fixed. Who even knows if we will even continue with executions after this, there is no telling how this will be resolved. But please, quit it with the sob story on his twenty minutes of suffering.  I am sorry for his family and friends that had to watch him suffer if they chose to attend the execution; however, they have had years to deal with what he did and have known about the execution.  Of course they should not have had to witness it happening the way they did; but why don't we focus on the actual victims?  Stephanie, her parents, her family, her friends as well as Clayton's family, parents and friends deserve our attention at this time, not the murderer.
